by Alan Schuster, January 1, 2013After snagging nearly 400 balls in 2012, Austin Janks from Buffalo, NY was voted Minor League Ballhawk of the Year. Janks, the premier ballhawk at Coco-Cola Field, home of the Buffalo Bisons, attended 40 games and snagged 398 balls, averaging 9.95 balls per game. Incredibly, he recorded 22 balls in a single game. Janks was the overwhelming choice of the voters, getting nine first place votes and two second place votes for a total of 32 points. Here is the complete list of vote-getters:
